Shiney Ahuja
The Gangster actor was busy raking up the awards as the most promising newcomer when his Bollywood career hit a dead end after his maid publically alleged Shiney of raping her; accusations that he has steadfastly denied. Even though his case lies pending before the courts, the public already has him tried and tested.
Ashmit Patel – Riya Sen
The sometimes actress courted controversy in 2005 when a video of her getting cozy with co-star Ashmit Patel hit the web, with the 90 second video going on to achieve Internet infamy and garnering more eyeballs than all the films of her entire Bollywood career put together.
Bipasha Basu – Amar Singh
With first Dino and later John at her arm, we’d have thought that Bips wasn’t lacking in the men department, but the opposite proved to be true when an audio tape of her allegedly talking dirty to politician Amar Singh hit the waves. Despite Amar Singh reportedly using his clout to have the tape hidden, the scandalous conversation made its way to the hands, or rather the ears, of the public in 2011.
Aman Verma
All the goody-two-shoes roles on television meant that we had Aman Verma pegged as the good guy, right up until a sting operation by a news channel caught him with his pants down. The actor’s career in showbiz went on an incessant downward spiral as footage of him propositioning an upcoming actress for sexual favors went viral.
Madhur Bhandarkar
The world got a good eyeful of the ugly side of showbiz that Madhur Bhandarkar’s movies love to prophesize about when struggling actress Preeti Jain accused the director of raping her. The actress further went on to charge Madhur with leading her on and promising to marry as well as cast her in his films, before abruptly withdrawing her case altogether.
Payal Rohatgi – Dibakar Banerjee
Noted filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee got a real life demonstration of the subject matter of his film Love, Sex and Dhokha when he got embroiled in a real life sex scandal after wannabe actress Payal Rohatgi accused him of apparently asking her to strip in exchange for a role in his upcoming film, Shanghai.
Aditya Pancholi
Never one to shy away from controversy, the actor was charged with raping Pooja Bedi’s fifteen year old maid while the duo were dating and has since compounded on his sins by later being accused of physically abusing Kangana Ranaut with whom he was said to be carrying on an extra-marital affair.
