Now here’s a first. Bigg Boss 9 host Salman Khan has agreed to host the Filmfare Awards — formerly Shah Rukh Khan’s territory — this year. It is learnt that Salman is being paid `2.5 crore for two hours in lieu of his services. A source in the know informs, “The anchoring of the awards functions has become tedious to do and watch. How many combinations can one watch Kapil Sharma and Manish Paul in? Salman is a masterstroke. He is popular and Bigg Boss has proved what a fabulous host he is.”
Sources say it wasn’t easy to get Salman to host the show. “He was pursued relentlessly and the pay cheque is close to `2.5 crores,” mumbles the source. That’s more than `1 crore per hour. Not bad!
However, contrary to the above, another report further suggests that Shah Rukh Khan will be seen taking the center stage with Kapil Sharma and Karan Johar in company, as SRK has always been the face of Filmfare! Let’s see which Khan bags the final deal- Salman or SRK? Filmfare 2016 is scheduled to happen over this weekend and the performances lined up include sensational acts from celebs like Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Salman, Ranveer Singh among others!
