5 Roles You Won’t Believe These Actors Rejected.

1) Irrfan Khan – The Martian
Irrfan Khan, the man with two careers, has had quite an adventure when it comes to juggling between Bollywood and Hollywood. Last year, he had to turn down the Hollywood blockbuster ‘The Martian’ because he was busy shooting for Piku. What’s the catch, you ask? He was going to star opposite Scarlett Johansson! So in a way, he chose Deepika over the Hollywood babe. Hmmm.

2) Shuddhi – Deepika Padukone
Karan Johar’s Shuddhi seems to have been jinxed for quite some time. It is said that Deepika had been offered the lead role in the film, which she declined for Bajirao Mastani. This move has also resulted in some friction between Karan and Deepika allegedly.

3) Roy – Deepika Padukone
The audiences would have gotten a chance to see the famous Ranbir – Deepika jodi onscreen once again with Roy, had she not declined the role. The role, along with the complementary regret that came with its box office performance, went to Jacqueline Fernandez. In hindsight, it’d have been fun watching Deepika groove to Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan.

4) Fast & Furious 7 – Deepika Padukone
Deepika, who will make her Hollywood debut with xXx, would’ve made it much sooner had she accepted Fast & Furious 7. But the dates could not match as she was busy shooting for Ram Leela and Deepika had to pass on the project.

5) Tamasha – Anushka Sharma
If rumours are to be believed, Tara’s role wasn’t ‘meaty’ enough for Anushka Sharma. And that is the reason why she passed on Imtiaz Ali’s wonderful Tamasha. But we are glad, because only Deepika and Ranbir could’ve created the magic onscreen the way they did.

6) One Night Stand – Rana Dagubatti

Sunny Leone’s controversial next, a film which takes no shame in being called what it is about - a One Night Stand, was supposed to star Rana Dagubatti! But since the hottie was busy shooting for Bahubali, he had to pass the role on to newcomer Tanuj Virwani. Not that Tanuj is complaining, tbh.
