Live-in relationships are a growing phenomenon these days. And our Bollywood stars have always embraced the idea with open arms and minds. An array of celebrity couples have not shied away from moving-in together before entering the wedlock. While for some, living-in worked and made their bonds stronger with time, for others the experience turned out to be a realisation that they were perhaps not made for each other. Take a look at some such Bollywood couples.
Bollywood’s royal couple, who got married in 2012, lived-in for 4 years before getting hitched. Though Saif and Kareena had acted in LOC Kargil in 2003 and 2006 film Omkara, it was only during the shoot of Tashan in 2007 that sparks between the two flew. Saif and Kareena were always vocal about their relationship and the lovebirds decided to take their commitment a step forward, when they decided to live-in with each other in 2009. The couple has always vouched for live-in relations saying, they are a reality in modern India.
Apparently, taking cue from her brother and sister-in-law, Soha Ali Khan too had a live-in relation with Kunal Khemu. The couple first met on the sets of the movie, ‘Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge’, in 2009. Very soon, they even moved in together, before they decided to exchange the wedding vows in 2015. Although, there were recent rumours suggesting trouble in their paradise, however, Kunal squashed all such gossips by taking to Twitter.
It was in 2009, when love blossomed between Ranbir and Katrina, as they worked together in ‘Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahaani’. Their closeness ‘off the screen’ reflected in their sizzling on-screen chemistry and the movie became a hit. Ranbir and Katrina starrer ‘Rajneeti’ released the next year and brought them closer. The two started spending quite a lot of time together at parties and vacations before they finally moved in together in 2014. In 2015, Ranbir revealed that he and Katrina will tie the knot by the end of next year. January 2016 came with the news that was just the opposite of what Ranbir-Katrina fans were expecting. All of a sudden, the couple has reportedly ended their almost six-year-long relationship.
After his separation with Dimple Kapadia, Rajesh Khanna was in a live-in relation with Anita Advani, till he breathed his last in 2012. Revealing about her bond with the superstar, Anita said, "I used to visit Aashirwad from the year, 2003, but in 2006, I moved to Aashirwad. My family did oppose my decision, but I was in love and decided to spend my life with him. “
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao met on the sets of the film ‘Lagaan’ in 2001, where Aamir played the lead and Kiran was the assistant director. They came close and soon fell in love. After moving-in together, the couple finally got married in 2005.
The much-talked about couple fell in love with each other as they worked together in the daily soap ‘Pavitra Rishta’, in 2009. After confessing their feelings to each other, they moved in together. Amid regular speculations about their wedding, the couple finally decided to get married in December 2016. However, there came a shocker last month that the two called it quits due to differences for various reasons!
